# Token Swaps

Token swaps on Xchange are a simple way to trade one token for another via automated liquidity pools on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Optimism, Base and Arbitrum, and also with market makers when trading tokens on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Optimism, Base and Arbitrum. Xchange acts as a liquidity aggregator where it searches across multiple liquidity pools to ensure you always get the best price.

When you make a token swap (trade) on the Xchange, you will pay trading fees according to the type of liquidity pool your trade is being routed through. You may check the route details by clicking the plus icon on the “Auto Router” section.

For Exchange V2 liquidity pools, a fixed 0.2% trading fee is applied, which is broken down as follows:

  • 0.1% - Returned to Liquidity Pools in the form of a fee reward for liquidity providers.
  • 0.1% - Sent to the Xchange Treasury.
